About Christopher

Christopher Murillo is a Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping individuals pursue personal growth, cultivate meaningful relationships, and prioritize their health and well-being. Many mental health issues can often leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, and discouraged. Christopher believes all people inherently have the strength and resiliency needed to work through these problems and utilizes a collaborative and compassionate approach to guide them in the right direction. Christopher understands that therapy is a deeply personal journey and that establishing a foundation of trust is essential for healing and growth. His approach focuses on fostering an open and safe environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
Christopher’s most extensive experience consists of working with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and other related disorders. He believes therapy is best tailored to suit individual needs and uses treatment modalities such as narrative therapy, existential therapy, solution-focused, CBT, and has training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level I) and EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Christopher has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology – Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University, a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Cal Poly Pomona, and an Associate’s in Drug Studies from Rio Hondo.
In Christopher’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, watching movies, reading books, playing games, and watching sports. He looks forward to meeting you and having the honor of being part of your therapy journey.
